Pharma Nord StatiQinon 60 Capsules

How does StatiQinon work?

Natural Cholesterol Balance

StatiQinon from Pharma Nord contains co-enzyme Q10, red yeast rice, and ALA (alpha-linolenic acid). It helps to maintain a natural cholesterol balance using a combination of three important ingredients.

Coenzyme Q10 is found in the mitochondria of every cell and is responsible for the production of energy. Tissues with a high energy requirement such as the heart, muscles and liver contain more mitochondria within their cells.

Red yeast rice is a dietary staple in some Asian countries. Red yeast rice has 14 active compounds called monacolins, which inhibits the synthesis of cholesterol.

ALA stands for “alpha-linolenic acid”, an essential fatty acid found in plants. The body does not produce ALA, we can consume this from the diet. ALA contributes to maintenance of normal blood cholesterol concentrations*.

*min. 450 mg of ALA a day (15% of 2g obtains a normal effect)

Q10 and Statins

Coenzyme Q10 and cholesterol are both synthesized from the same substance in the body. This implies that if the body's production of cholesterol is reduced by a statin, the body's production of coenzyme Q10 is reduced accordingly.
