A.Vogel

(27 products)

A.Vogel was founded in 1963 by Alfred Vogel, a Swiss naturopath whose approach centred on using fresh herbs, minimally processed, to support the body's everyday balance rather than relying on synthetic extracts or long-dried plant material. That founding philosophy still shapes how the range is made today.

The herbs used across the range are grown mainly on the brand's own fields in Roggwil, Switzerland, largely following a strict organic protocol and Good Agricultural and Collection Practice (GACP) standards. From there, herbs are processed fresh into tinctures and tablets, then shipped to A.Vogel's own facility in Irvine, Scotland, where everything is bottled under GMP-standard manufacturing. That two-country process gives a traceable route from field to finished product.

What the range is known for:

  • Echinaforce – fresh echinacea, one of the brand's longest-standing products, widely used through cold and flu season
  • Dormeasan – valerian and hops drops, often used as part of an evening wind-down routine
  • Atrogel – an arnica gel applied topically for muscles and joints
  • Prostasan and Venaforce – saw palmetto and horse chestnut formulas aimed at men's health and circulatory support respectively

Beyond the herbal remedy range, A.Vogel also produces everyday food products under its Bambu, Herbamare and Molkosan lines, built on the same fresh-ingredient philosophy as the remedies. The brand states on its own site that it does not test on animals.
