Eye Health

Understanding what actually supports your eyes

Most of this collection is nutritional support — vitamins, minerals and omega-3 formulas taken daily as part of a balanced diet — rather than medicinal treatment. A small number of soothing eye drops are also included for everyday dryness or irritation.

Ingredients with an authorised vision claim:

  • Vitamin A — contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
  • Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) — contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
  • Zinc — contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
  • DHA (Omega-3) — contributes to the maintenance of normal vision, at an intake of 250mg per day

Popular but unproven ingredients: Lutein, zeaxanthin and bilberry are widely sold for eye health, but there is currently no authorised GB or EU health claim for these ingredients. We stock them because customers ask for them by name — not because we're claiming a proven effect.

If you're looking for drops, not supplements: A small number of soothing eye drops (for tired, dry or hayfever-related irritation) sit within this same collection — look for "drops" in the product title rather than "capsules" or "tablets."

See the FAQs below for guidance on choosing between formats.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here's the honest answer: lutein, zeaxanthin and bilberry are among the most popular eye-health ingredients on the market, but none of them currently carry an authorised GB or EU health claim for vision or eye health — the evidence hasn't met the bar regulators require, even though it's an active area of research. That doesn't mean they're useless, but it does mean any product implying a proven eye-health benefit from these ingredients is going further than the science currently allows. If you want an ingredient backed by an authorised claim, look for Vitamin A, Riboflavin (B2), Zinc, or DHA instead — all four are confirmed to contribute to the maintenance of normal vision. Many customers choose to take both: an authorised-claim formula for confidence, alongside a lutein or bilberry product they've found useful personally. We'd rather tell you this upfront than let a bold label do the talking.

This collection covers three genuinely different product types, and it's easy to mix them up:

  • Eye vitamins/supplements (the majority of this range) — capsules or tablets taken daily, aimed at long-term nutritional support for vision.
  • Eye drops (a small selection) — liquid drops applied directly to the eye for short-term relief from dryness, tiredness or hayfever-related irritation.
  • Eye creams/serums — cosmetic skincare applied around the eye area to address the appearance of the skin, not the eye itself.

If your concern is how your eyes feel day-to-day (dry, tired, itchy), a drop gives faster relief than a supplement. If your concern is long-term nutritional support, a daily supplement is the right category. If your concern is the skin around your eyes, that's the cream/serum range — worth knowing before you buy, since these three won't do the same job.

If your eyes feel generally tired after screen time or a long day, a tired-eye drop is designed for quick, everyday refreshment. If dryness is a more persistent, recurring issue, a dedicated dry-eye drop is formulated specifically to lubricate rather than just refresh. If your symptoms are seasonal — itchy, red or watery eyes that flare up alongside sneezing or a blocked nose — that points toward a hayfever-specific eye drop rather than a general lubricant, since it's addressing the allergy trigger rather than just the dryness. As with any eye product, if symptoms are severe, sudden, or don't improve within a few days, that's a conversation for a pharmacist or optometrist rather than something to keep self-treating.

Short answer: yes, if you're not already getting enough from your diet. Four ingredients in this collection carry an authorised claim specifically for vision:

  • Vitamin A — contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
  • Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) — contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
  • Zinc — contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
  • DHA (Omega-3) — contributes to the maintenance of normal vision, at 250mg per day

A daily multi-nutrient formula combining several of these is a reasonable, low-risk choice for general eye health as part of a balanced diet — it's not a treatment, but it's genuinely backed. Compare labels for the actual DHA content per dose (many combination formulas fall short of 250mg) rather than assuming any "omega-3" product delivers the full authorised amount.

Worth being clear on this one: eye creams and serums in this collection are cosmetic skincare products, formulated to address the appearance of the skin around the eyes — fine lines, puffiness, dark circles — not the health or function of the eye itself. They sit alongside eye vitamins and eye drops here because customers searching "eye health" are often looking for all three, but they solve different problems.

Pros of an eye cream: targeted, gentle formulation for a delicate skin area; visible cosmetic results for many users.

What it won't do: support vision, treat dryness or irritation inside the eye, or replace a nutritional supplement.

If you want both — skin appearance and nutritional support — it's entirely reasonable to use a cream alongside a Vitamin A or omega-3 supplement; they're not overlapping products, just adjacent ones.

Excellent in every way.

I do recommend this company. I ordered from Greece, the VAT was correctly applied, and customs form correctly filled in, so had nil delays at customs. The bottles were very well packed and most of all the vitamins had expiry dates to November 2028, which I do appreciate, as I was stocking up. It is a pleasure dealing with caring professionals such as yourselves.
