Healthy Drinks

Our Healthy Drinks range brings together everyday hydration and wellness drinks in one place — coconut water and birch water, herbal and classic teas, coffee substitutes, plant-based milks, and fruit and vegetable juices. Whatever you're switching to or adding into your routine, there's an option suited to your taste and dietary needs.

Choosing the Right Format

  • Coconut water & birch water — naturally hydrating drinks with electrolytes, a lighter alternative to sugary sports drinks
  • Herbal & fruit teas — caffeine-free options for any time of day, alongside classic black and green teas
  • Coffee substitutes — chicory, dandelion and grain-based blends for anyone reducing their caffeine intake
  • Plant-based milks — oat, almond, soya, cashew and coconut options for dairy-free diets
  • Fruit & vegetable juices — traditional and cold-pressed juices to fit alongside a balanced diet

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're cutting back on caffeine but still want the ritual of a hot drink, the closest option depends on what you miss most about coffee.

  • Chicory root blends give the closest bitter, roasted flavour and are naturally caffeine-free
  • Dandelion coffee has a similar earthy depth but a slightly different aftertaste — worth trying a small pack first
  • Grain-based blends (barley, rye) are milder and less bitter, closer to a weak filter coffee
  • Decaf coffee is the obvious middle ground if you want the actual taste of coffee with most of the caffeine removed, rather than a full substitute

Most people find it takes two or three tries with different substitutes before finding one that fits their habit — roasted, bitter blends tend to satisfy coffee drinkers best, while milder grain blends suit those who found coffee too strong to begin with. Start with smaller pack sizes across two or three options rather than committing to a full bag of one — taste preference here is genuinely personal.

Both are common first choices when switching away from dairy, and the right one depends on what you're using it for.

Oat milk has a naturally creamy texture and mild, slightly sweet taste, which is why it's become the default for coffee and tea — it froths well and doesn't split as easily as some alternatives.

Almond milk is lighter and thinner, with a nuttier flavour that works well in cereal, smoothies or drunk on its own, but it can behave differently in hot drinks depending on the brand.

A few practical differences worth checking on pack:

  • Nutritional profile varies by brand — some are fortified with calcium, others aren't
  • Allergen status differs completely — almond milk is unsuitable if you have a nut allergy, oat milk isn't
  • Sweetened vs unsweetened versions exist for both, so check the label if you're avoiding added sugar

If you're mainly replacing milk in tea or coffee, start with oat. If you're after a lighter drink for cereal or smoothies, almond is usually the better fit.

Not automatically — this is one of the most common mixups in the tea aisle. True teas (black, green, white and oolong) all come from the Camellia sinensis plant and naturally contain caffeine, though the amount varies with brewing time and leaf type.

Herbal teas — peppermint, chamomile, rooibos, fruit infusions — aren't made from the tea plant at all, so they're naturally caffeine-free by default, not because the caffeine has been removed.

The exception worth knowing: some blended teas combine herbal ingredients with actual tea leaves (a chamomile and green tea blend, for example), which will contain some caffeine. If caffeine content matters to you, check whether the blend lists tea leaf or a plant-based ingredient on the ingredients list, rather than assuming based on the flavour name alone.

If you want a genuinely caffeine-free option later in the day, rooibos and single-ingredient herbal infusions are the safest choice

A few things are worth a quick check before you buy, especially if you're comparing similar-looking bottles:

  • Sugar content per 100ml — some juices contain only natural fruit sugars, others have added sugar or juice from concentrate with a higher sugar load
  • "From concentrate" vs "not from concentrate" — this affects both flavour and, in some cases, nutrient content after processing
  • Vitamin C content — many fruit juices contribute to your daily vitamin C intake, which supports normal immune function, but levels vary between brands
  • Portion size — a standard juice serving is smaller than most people pour, so check the label rather than the bottle size
  • Vegetable-based juices often contain less natural sugar than fruit juices, worth considering if you're mindful of overall sugar intake

Juice is best treated as one part of a varied diet rather than a replacement for whole fruit and vegetables, since it doesn't retain the same fibre content.

Coconut water and birch water are both natural, lightly sweet drinks used for everyday hydration, but they come from different sources and have slightly different mineral profiles.

Coconut water comes from young coconuts and is naturally rich in potassium, with a mild, faintly sweet flavour most people find easy to drink daily.

Birch water is tapped from birch trees in early spring and tends to be lighter and less sweet, with a subtly earthy taste. It's often lower in natural sugars than coconut water, which is worth checking if you're comparing labels closely.

Both are good options if you're looking for something more interesting than plain water without reaching for a sports drink loaded with added sugar. If you prefer a familiar, tropical flavour, coconut water is the easier starting point. If you want something drier and less sweet, birch water is worth trying instead.

Neither should be treated as a replacement for a balanced fluid intake through the day — they work well alongside water, not instead of it.

Let’s Hear What Our Customers Have To Say

Product and price are both 5 star. Courier awful. Tracking less than useless but seriously, these items are fabulous. And this was definitely the best price I’ve seen. I’ll put up with the longer delivery time. It’s not the seller’s fault at all. I’m telling all my T2D friends about these. The only crisp type snack...

value for money, so tired of throwing fresh berries in food bin due to their condition. These are organic, freeze dried nearly 100% as good as fresh berries, and more importantly none will be thrown away. once opened will last 2 months.

Good quality product, higher dha/epa than others, being in a foiled pouch helps keep fresh and doesn't allow light to oxidise as fast as clear packaging. Recommended.
