Stress, Relaxation & Calm

Winding down well often isn't about one product, it's about layering a few small habits — this collection brings together the three most popular ways our customers build an evening routine.

Three ways to wind down:

  • Magnesium — contributes to normal psychological function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, available as tablets, sprays, oils and our dedicated Sleep range of lotions and flakes from BetterYou.
  • Herbal tea — a calming evening ritual, with chamomile, valerian, lemon balm and lavender blends from Pukka, Yogi Tea, Clipper and more.
  • Aromatherapy — essential oils, diffusers and candles for a calming bedroom environment, from Tisserand, Absolute Aromas and Aqua Oleum.

You don't need all three to get started — many customers begin with one and build from there. Our FAQs below cover how they work together.

Frequently Asked Questions

There's no wrong starting point, but they suit slightly different situations. Magnesium is the most evidenced option here — it has an authorised claim for contributing to normal psychological function and reducing tiredness and fatigue — so it's a sensible choice if you want something with a genuine nutritional basis, taken consistently as part of a daily routine. Herbal tea works partly through ritual as well as ingredients — the act of making and drinking something warm before bed can itself help signal wind-down time. Aromatherapy is the most immediate, sensory option, useful if you want something for tonight rather than a routine built over weeks. If you're not sure, magnesium is the most straightforward first step since it's backed by an authorised claim; tea and aromatherapy are easy, low-commitment additions once you've got that foundation.

Yes, and many customers do exactly this as a layered evening routine — there's no meaningful interaction risk between magnesium, herbal tea and aromatherapy oils, since they work through entirely different pathways (oral nutrition, ritual/ingestion, and scent). A simple routine might look like: a magnesium spray or tablet earlier in the evening, a calming tea an hour or so before bed, and a lavender diffuser running in the bedroom. If you're also taking supplements from our Mood & Emotional Wellbeing range, such as ashwagandha or 5-HTP, it's still worth introducing new additions one at a time so you can tell what's actually helping, even though magnesium, tea and aromatherapy themselves are generally very safe to combine.

BetterYou's Sleep-specific range (Sleep Body Spray, Sleep Lotion, Sleep Flakes) is applied topically rather than taken orally, which some customers prefer if they find tablets inconvenient or want to build a specific bedtime application into their routine, like a lotion after a shower. Standard oral magnesium (tablets or capsules) is the more established way to reach a consistent daily intake and is easier to track precisely. Topical absorption evidence is less established than oral intake, so if consistent, measurable magnesium intake is your priority, an oral tablet is the more reliable choice; if you want a sensory, routine-building bedtime step, the topical Sleep range suits that purpose well.

With hundreds of tea options in our range, it helps to know what to look for: chamomile, valerian, and lemon balm are the most traditional evening-wind-down ingredients, and you'll find dedicated blends like Yogi Bedtime and Yogi Relax built specifically around this combination. Lavender-infused teas offer a similar calming ritual with a different flavour profile if chamomile isn't to your taste. None of these currently carry an authorised UK/EU health claim for sleep, so think of your choice as personal preference and ritual rather than one being clinically superior — trying two or three blends to find what you enjoy drinking is a perfectly reasonable approach, since you're more likely to stick with an evening tea habit you actually like the taste of.

It's worth being honest: aromatherapy oils don't currently hold an authorised UK/EU health claim for sleep or relaxation, so we can't promise a specific effect. What we can say is that many customers build scent into their wind-down routine deliberately — diffusing lavender or a calming blend before bed as a consistent cue that signals it's time to relax, similar to how a bedtime tea ritual works. If you're new to aromatherapy, a simple diffuser with a lavender or chamomile essential oil is the easiest starting point; candles offer a similar ritual without needing a diffuser. As with any essential oil, always follow the product's dilution and safety guidance, particularly around pets and young children.

Excellent in every way.

I do recommend this company. I ordered from Greece, the VAT was correctly applied, and customs form correctly filled in, so had nil delays at customs. The bottles were very well packed and most of all the vitamins had expiry dates to November 2028, which I do appreciate, as I was stocking up. It is a pleasure dealing with caring professionals such as yourselves.
