Myrrh oil is a richly resinous essential oil known for its deep, warm aroma and centuries-old reputation as a natural healer. Extracted through distillation from the Myrrh resin, this oil is notably viscous, making it more challenging to use than lighter essential oils. To facilitate application, Absolute Aromas has equipped this 10ml bottle with a larger dropper. If the oil solidifies over time, simply warm the bottle gently in your hands until it returns to a liquid state.
Renowned for its therapeutic properties, Myrrh oil is particularly beneficial during the colder months. When used in inhalations, it can help soothe respiratory discomfort associated with winter ailments. For a calming steam inhalation, add one drop each of Myrrh, Benzoin, and Lavender to a bowl of boiling water. Drape a towel over your head and shoulders, then breathe in the vapors deeply for several minutes to experience relief.
Myrrh also blends beautifully in massage oils, especially for tired or neglected feet. Create a soothing foot massage blend by mixing 1 drop of Myrrh, 2 drops of Geranium, and 1 drop of Peppermint into 10ml of Coconut oil. This combination helps to refresh and revitalize, promoting relaxation and skin nourishment.
