Description
Solgar® Advanced Acidophilus Plus Vegetable Capsules is a non-dairy formulation containing 2 strains of specially cultured strains of L. acidophilus (LA-5®) and B. Lactis (BB-12®). Each capsule provides 500 million specially cultured strains of L. acidophilus and B.lactis, beneficial microorganisms that survive stomach acidity and naturally reside in the lower digestive tract.
All of Solgar's Advanced Probiotics utilise a polysaccharide matrix technology which protects the live bacteria from being destroyed by stomach acid, before it reaches the gut. This matrix is comprised of a specially formulated blend that offers protection as well as provides food for the organisms and enhances the shelf stability, meaning these products do not need to be refrigerated and protection from destruction by stomach acid.
L. acidophilus and B. lactis are strains of friendly bacteria which can be naturally found in the intestines. The intestines are responsible for digesting food, producing certain vitamins and assisting the immune system. The strains used in Solgar® Advanced Acidophilus Plus Vegetable Capsules have been extensively researched.
The digestive system is home to trillions of bacteria and they support the gut to be healthy, as well as aiding the immune system. Eating fermented foods such as yogurt, tempeh, cheese and sauerkraut, can help top up the level of friendly bacteria. A lot of commercial yogurt products have added sugar, which feeds not only the good bacteria in your gut, but also the bad ones. If your diet doesn’t contain fermented foods, you might want to consider taking a supplement.
Solgar® Advanced Acidophilus Plus Vegetable Capsules are a safe way to increase the level of friendly bacteria in your gut. Both strains have been granted Qualified Presumption of Safety (QPS) by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

Let’s Hear What Our Customers Have To Say
I m really happy with the Sanatogen High Protein Powder. I have been taking it for a few weeks in an attempt, alongside exercise to rebuild muscle loss after long-term illness. I particularly like that it is sugar and sweetener free. Easy to take with milk and yoghurt or mixed into cereal /soups / sauces
value for money, so tired of throwing fresh berries in food bin due to their condition. These are organic, freeze dried nearly 100% as good as fresh berries, and more importantly none will be thrown away. once opened will last 2 months.
Good quality product, higher dha/epa than others, being in a foiled pouch helps keep fresh and doesn't allow light to oxidise as fast as clear packaging. Recommended.
came with good protection and use by date of 2/2028 which is good.. not a flavour ever seen in shops.. one of my fave flavours so I'm happy.. T1 diabetic
These are the best gluten free ginger biscuits I’ve ever tasted - very highly recommended! Great company to order from and prompt delivery.
I really like these little crackers. They are really crisp , crunchy and tasty. They also seem very healthy for a snack.
The best for midges, saves us from rhe little critters when travelling in rhe Highlands. Arrived super quick too.
Shopping with your company absolutely great , no problems whats so ever. Thank you so much , we appreciate all 👌
Delicious and great ingredients just a shame that are more corn than quinoa and not the other way round.

Frequently Asked Questions
We're a UK health retailer that has been supplying trusted wellness brands since 2014. We stock a wide range of supplements, natural foods and wellbeing products from established brands, all in one place, with free UK tracked delivery on orders over £25 and 60-day free returns. Our team is on hand by email and live chat if you need help choosing.
Food-first means we believe everyday nutrition is the foundation of wellbeing. A varied, balanced diet comes first, and supplements are there to support it, not replace it. That's why our range includes healthy foods, drinks and pantry staples alongside vitamins and supplements.
Start with the product description, ingredients and directions on each page. Our buying guides on the journal explain the differences between forms and strengths for popular supplements such as magnesium, vitamin D and probiotics. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication, please speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting a new supplement. Our team can help with product questions, but we can't give medical advice.
Many people combine supplements as part of a daily routine. Check the labels, though, to avoid taking more of the same nutrient than intended, as some vitamins and minerals appear in several products. Never exceed the recommended intake on each label. If you take prescription medication or have a health condition, check with your GP or pharmacist before combining supplements.
We choose brands and products based on quality, customer demand and trusted manufacturing standards. Our range focuses on established health and wellness brands. We keep it under review, adding new products our customers ask for and removing ones that don't meet our standards.
We stock products from well-known health and wellness brands. Orders are dispatched from our UK base Monday to Friday and on Sundays. Each product page shows the brand, ingredients and any dietary information, such as vegan or vegetarian suitability, where the manufacturer provides it.
Yes. Our team is happy to help with product questions by email at customerservices@healthplusliving.com or via live chat on the site. You can also browse by routine (Fuel, Move, Focus, Unwind and Sleep) to find products grouped around what you're looking to support. For advice about your health, please speak to your GP or pharmacist.
