Featured Product Technology

Foundationâ„¢
Our XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) foam, FOUNDATION, provides durable biomechanical support. This ultra-light, closed-cell foam resists moisture and helps reduce shock while offering advanced comfort. FOUNDATION’s resilience and strength optimizes the performance of all our Trim-to-Fit Premium Insoles.

Agion®
We treat the top covers of all our Trim-to-Fit Premium Insoles with Agion antimicrobial technology. Agion’s natural, silver-based antimicrobial is built right into our products to provide long-lasting protection against bacteria. Agion adds continuous cleanliness to our Premium Insoles - creating a clean, comfortable combination.

Encapsulating Stabilizer System [ESS]®
Superfeet Green features a unique stabilizer cap for optimal underfoot support. When integrated with the shape and design of the foam full length, this combination creates a deep heel cup to cradle the heel’s fat pad for improved natural shock absorption. This system provides comfort and necessary stability for different activities, footwear and foot types.

Heel-to-Toeâ„¢ Profile
Angled stabilizer cap provides constant contact with the outsole for ultimate control and energy transfer. The heel-to-toe profile contours the foot and improves the fit, comfort and performance of any skate or footwear with a raised heel.

Diamond Ventingâ„¢
Venting holes through the foam full length line up with perforated outsoles to stimulate air circulation and control moisture. A strategically centered design ensures that the foam retains its integrity in the forefoot, preserving the overall full length structure.

Wide Forefoot
Wide forefoot accommodates newer skate and road cycling shoe designs, offering better underfoot coverage.

FAQ

Do Superfeet Insoles help Plantar Fasciitis?

Yes, in most, but not all cases. The Superfeet Insoles will help hold the rearfoot close to a neutral position. The neutral position will allow for better bone and muscle alignment. This will help reduce some of the stress on the plantar fascia ligament.

What can I do if the Superfeet Insoles increase my foot and shoe odor?

  • Clean the Superfeet Insoles on a regular basis (twice a week).
  • Remove the Superfeet Insoles from your shoes every night to let the shoes and Superfeet Insoles air out.
  • Do not wear the same pair of shoes three days in a row.
  • Try different brands of socks or nylons.
  • Apply a teaspoon of baby powder under and on top of the footbed in the shoe.
  • Apply some scented hand or body lotion to your feet.
  • Try soaking your feet in warm water and Epsom salts for about 20 minutes, once or twice a week.

Can I wear the Green insoles in my shoes where the manufacturer's inlay does not come out?

We do not recommend that you place a Superfeet on top of the manufacturer's sock liner (insole). However there are shoes where the factory insole may not be removable. You may place the Superfeet in these shoes as long as it doesn't make the fit of the shoe too tight against your foot. The best Superfeet insole option for shoes without removable insoles is the 3/4 Easy Fit model.

My Green insoles are squeaking, what can I do to eliminate this squeak?

If the Superfeet insoles are new and make a squeaking sound, there could be a number of causes.

Give the product two weeks to mold to your feet and settle into the shoe. The sound generally dissipates. If after this time the squeak is still there, apply some baby powder inside the shoes under the insoles and apply some baby powder on the bottom of the plastic Superfeet cap. You can also try the insoles in different shoes to see if this squeak goes away. Check to make sure that the product is not trimmed too long for the shoe's internal length. Jamming the insole in the shoe can create problems with fit and function.

Why does the arch hit so far back?

When you first try on the Superfeet product you may feel like the arch is too far back. This is not uncommon and it can be a positive feedback from the product. All Superfeet products are primarily designed for feet that over-pronate. If you feel like the arch is too far back, the product is actually telling you that it's trying to support you rear foot (heel bone) so the foot doesn't have the ability to collapse. As you go through the break-in period with the product, it may take 10 minutes to 2 weeks for the feeling of the high spot support to dissipate. If the feeling does not dissipate and become more comfortable, contact the Superfeet dealer where you purchased the product or call customer care to help you determine if you have purchased the correct size for your foot and the correct model for the shoe style and your foot type. If you trim the Superfeet insole too long for the shoe, it will jam the Superfeet in the shoe and give you the feeling that the arch is too far back. You may want to trim the front end of the Superfeet insole so that the product can move in the shoe from front to back, about the thickness of a nickel. This allows the product to be independant of the shoe. The Superfeet product will center itself underneath the foot, increasing comfort and function.

Trim and fit your new Superfeet Insoles

The way you trim your insoles can have a great effect on how well they will work and feel. For an ideal fit, follow these simple steps:

Step 1

Superfeet insole should lie on the bottom surface of your footwear. It should not rest on any additional insole, arch pad or heel cushion material. These items should be removed.

Step 2

Place the original insole over the top of your new Superfeet insole, lining up both the heel (Fig. 2) and inside edge (Fig. 3). With a marking pen, trace the original insole pattern onto the new Superfeet insole (Fig. 4). Trim the insole by cutting along the inside edge of the tracing line (Fig. 5). Care should be taken not to trim too short. Trim it, try it. Trim it, try it.

Step 3

Fit your insole into your footwear, resting it properly on the bottom. The insole needs to have minimal back-to-front movement inside the footwear (about 1/16" or 2mm) to ensure the insole moves with your foot and is not jammed heel-to-toe (Fig. 6). This is very important. Properly trimmed, your insoles will fit easily into your footwear without a struggle, and will not curl up in the toe area.

If You Have No Original Insole

If there is no original insole in your footwear to use as a template, place your footwear over your new Superfeet insole (Fig. 7), and trace an outline around the toe area (Fig. 8). Then follow the usual trimming instructions. Hint: trace and trim one insole first, then use it as a template for the second insole.

Too Tight in the Forefoot

If your footwear is too tight to accommodate the full length of your Superfeet insole, you can trim off the forefoot closer to the stabilizer cap (Fig. 9). This will have no effect on the biomechanical benefits of the insole.

What to Expect From Your New Superfeet

Your new insoles may initially feel snug, but after wearing them for a few days, the foam forefoot will compress slightly, allowing for a more relaxed fit. Our patented insoles are designed to be firm and supportive, not soft and mushy like most gel-based footbeds. You may initially feel this new support on the inside of your heel (Fig. 10) and suspect the arch is too far back. This is ok. This is the shape and design of the insole supporting your foot where it is needed. Because your previous shoes or insoles may not have supported your foot properly, the tendons and muscles of your feet may need time to adjust to their properly supported position.

Break-in period

We suggest taking a conservative break-in approach; try wearing your Superfeet for just 1-2 hours for the first day, then gradually add more time each day. If you are experiencing discomfort with your Superfeet after 5-7 days of wear, and it is not improving, remove the product from your footwear and contact the store where you purchased the product. (We recommend you retain your original insoles until you have completed your break-in period).

How long do Superfeet last?

This depends on your foot type, body weight, type of footwear, activity and the environment in which the insole is worn - but the average Superfeet insole lasts up to 12 months or more.

Cleaning instructions for your new Superfeet insoles

Hand-wash with a mild soap and lukewarm water to remove light soil. A soft bristle brush (old toothbrush) works well to remove ground-in dirt. Rinse well. Absorb excess water with a soft towel and allow insoles to air dry overnight. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY. DO NOT AIR DRY NEAR A HEAT SOURCE!
