What is tea tree oil used for in this range?

Tea tree oil is the core ingredient across Australian Tea Tree's whole range, used in different product formats: a pure essential oil (10ml, for diluting and topical or diffuser use), a cleansing soap and skin wash for washing, a cream for moisturising, and even a toothpaste for oral care.

Because the pure oil is concentrated, it should generally be diluted before applying directly to skin, unlike the soap, wash, cream and toothpaste, which are pre-formulated for direct use.

These are cosmetic and personal care products used for cleansing and general skincare, not medical treatments -- if you have a persistent skin concern, speak to a pharmacist or dermatologist.

Can I apply the pure tea tree oil directly to my skin?

Pure essential oils like tea tree are generally too concentrated to apply undiluted -- dilute in a carrier oil first, and patch-test on a small area before wider use.

What's the difference between the cleansing soap and the skin wash?

The Cleansing Soap (90g) is a solid bar, while the Cleansing Skin Wash (250ml) is a liquid wash -- both use tea tree as the key ingredient, so the choice comes down to which format you prefer.

Is tea tree toothpaste different from regular toothpaste?

It uses tea tree oil as a key ingredient alongside standard toothpaste components -- used the same way as any toothpaste, as part of a normal twice-daily brushing routine.

Is tea tree oil suitable for sensitive skin?

As with any essential oil, some people are sensitive to tea tree oil -- patch-test on a small area first, and discontinue use if you notice any irritation.
