Banhoek Chilli Oil

Q: What's the difference between the Original, Garlic and Asian chilli oils?

The Original is Banhoek's straightforward chilli oil, built purely around chilli heat. The Garlic-Infused version adds garlic flavour alongside the chilli. The Asian variety leans into a different flavour profile associated with Asian-style chilli oils, often used over noodles, dumplings or rice dishes. If you want a versatile, all-purpose chilli oil, the Original is the simplest starting point. If you're cooking a specific cuisine or want extra flavour depth, the Garlic or Asian versions add more complexity. All three are sold in the same 250ml bottle and are described as 100% natural.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Original, Garlic and Asian chilli oils?

How hot is Banhoek chilli oil?

Heat level isn't specified numerically on the product listings -- if you're sensitive to spice, start with a small amount to gauge the heat before using more generously.

What's the difference between "wrapped" and "unwrapped" Original?

This refers to the bottle's packaging presentation rather than the oil itself -- both are the same Original 100% Natural chilli oil (250ml).

What dishes work well with the Asian variety specifically?

Asian-style chilli oils are commonly used over noodles, dumplings, rice or stir-fries -- a versatile condiment for adding heat and flavour to Asian-inspired cooking.

How should chilli oil be stored?

Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight, and check the label for any specific guidance on refrigeration after opening.

Let’s Hear What Our Customers Have To Say

Product and price are both 5 star. Courier awful. Tracking less than useless but seriously, these items are fabulous. And this was definitely the best price I’ve seen. I’ll put up with the longer delivery time. It’s not the seller’s fault at all. I’m telling all my T2D friends about these. The only crisp type snack...

Good quality product, higher dha/epa than others, being in a foiled pouch helps keep fresh and doesn't allow light to oxidise as fast as clear packaging. Recommended.
